2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman: A Brief Review from MINI of Charleston

The all new 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman is not a typical MINI but a first ever crossover SUV of the brand. The new MINI is taller and wider and also 16-inches longer than a typical MINI Cooper. This new MINI Cooper features four doors and four adult passengers can seat inside comfortably.

Although Countryman has retained the original appearance of the vehicle, it has come with some extra new features including larger side vents on the front fenders and a notched roofline along with a few extra bulges that were not prevalent in the earlier MINI models. The new crossover definitely looks impressive at least when compared to its siblings.

The crossover is powered by 1.6 liter, 4-cylinder engine coupled with six-speed manual transmission capable of producing 121 hp. According to EPA rating, the MINI Cooper has a mileage of 27 mpg in city and 35 mpg in highway.
The car maker has taken enough care of the interior as well. A large speedometer is mounted on top of the center of the dashboard coupled with a tachometer in the front of the driver. The vehicle has four bullet-shaped air vents, plus climate control switchgear to ensure you have an enjoyable riding experience.

The bucket seats in the front and rear are quite comfortable. There is plenty of room for head, leg and shoulder space. The cargo storage is of 41 cubic feet with the rear seatbacks folded flat. Although it’s far less than the mainstream competitors but the storage area is sufficient to accommodate your shopping bags.
